Once you have applied for the basic courses and are coming to the end of the training period, you will want to begin the process of applying for all the required certifications and licensing. You are going to need a copy of your high school diploma, driver’s license, and you will also need a form to approve a background check as well. Submit the required documents immediately when you have completed the last of your EMT training. The documents along with the results of the practical skills test or NREMT will need to be sent to the state of Kentucky for verification and processing. There will also be fees for this process.
